What Enneagram type are you? The RHETI Sampler

The RHETI Sampler is a short test consisting of 36 quesitons. This is only a part of the longer form of the RHETI which has 144 questions. The RHETI is validated with research and is considered valid and reliable. The RHETI Sampler cannot guarantee that your basic personality type will be indicated, but your type will probably express itself in the top three scores as shown by this test. It is recommended that you read the type descriptions at the end of the test, and in The Wisdom of the Enneagram (Riso and Hudson) in order to help you identify your basic type.

Instructions for the Free Sampler:

The RHETI Sampler, like the complete RHETI itself, is a forced-choice psychological test which requires you to choose one statement in each pair of statements that describes you best. For each pair of statements, select the statement that applies to you most of your life. Do not over-analyze the questions, or try to think of “exceptions” to the rule. Be spontaneous and choose the statement that comes closest to the way you have been most of the time or most of your life.

Occasionally there will be questions that ask you to make a close call between two choices. This is because the RHETI is trying to reveal areas where you have similar behaviors or attitudes. You may skip questions that really do not apply to you, but do not skip the questions because they are difficult to answer. If a question is very close and you can’t decide finish the rest of the test and return to the difficult question.
